Exhumed Pet Cremation
It is not uncommon for pet parents who have buried a pet to change their minds and decide to remove their pet's remains from the ground and then have them cremated. Radiant Heart is one of the few cremation services who can make this possible.

Cremation of an Exhumed Pet
Removing a previously buried pet from the ground to have the remains cremated is not an uncommon request, especially in cases where a family has to move residences and would prefer not to leave their beloved pet’s cremains behind.
Radiant Heart is happy to help. Here are some guidelines:
- Radiant Heart is not available for exhumation. The pet must be exhumed by you or a family member or friend.
- The pet’s exhumed remains must be received in a closed container (bag or box).
- Any clumps of dirt or rocks attached to the exhumed remains should be removed as much as possible prior to bringing the pet’s remains to Radiant Heart.
- Flame cremation is required — aquamation is not available for exhumed remains.
- Pricing is based on the weight of the exhumed remains.
